Capacity product booking

From 1 October 2025, changes are planned to the procedure for booking Capacity Products at the Kiemenai entry/exit point.

Capacity booking at Kiemenai entry/exit point

The booking of transmission capacity at the Kiemenai entry/exit point starting from 1 October 2025 is via the GSA platform in accordance with the published capacity booking calendar.

The transfer of capacity to other users or surrender to the operator is possible only in the GSA platform.

Booking of interruptible capacity at Kiemenai entry / exit point

Interruptible capacity is offered only if all firm capacity has been sold for the respective gas day. The booking of interruptible capacity is carried out as follows:

  • Interruptible capacity as a day-ahead product is offered on the GSA platform after the end of the day-ahead firm capacity auction, no earlier than 18:30.
  • The within-day product is available via the over-nomination process and is not offered as a separate auction on the GSA platform.

The over-nomination process means that if all firm capacity has been sold, then starting from 20:00 on D-1, for the respective gas day, it is possible to book an interruptible within-day capacity product by submitting a nomination to both operators that exceeds the capacity available to the user. During the matching process, the higher nomination will be approved, and an additional interruptible within-day capacity product will be allocated.
