Conexus Baltic Grid

JSC „Conexus Baltic Grid” is a unified natural gas transmission and storage operator in Latvia. The company cooperates with legal entities - natural gas traders - in accordance with the tariffs for natural gas transmission system and storage services set by the Public Utilities Commission. JSC „Conexus Baltic Grid” manages one of the most modern natural gas storage facilities in Europe – Inčukalns underground gas storage, which is an important strategic object in the whole region.

Unified natural gas market

The unified natural gas market, which unites that gas transmission system operators in Finland, Latvia and Estonia, starts its operation on 1 January. The principal market winners are the businessmen, because the payments for crossing the national borders of the unified entry tariff zone are cancelled, unified transmission tariffs are set, and market competition is promoted and way is marked to create a unified European Union gas market, states the unified natural gas transmission and storage system operator JSC "Conexus Baltic Grid" (Conexus).

The unified transmission tariffs and cancellation of internal commercial borders ease materially the administrative burden of the sellers, and a transparent and simple tariff system is developed that has positive influence on the use of natural gas infrastructure. Income gained on the external borders of the unified market zone are divided among the three countries, which confirms the common purpose of the unified market member states to strengthen the energy safety in the region.



AS Conexus Baltic Grid informē, ka sakarā ar neplānotiem remonta darbiem Inčukalna PGK kompresoru cehā, tiks samazināta Inčukalna PGK izņemšanas jauda no 246 000 000 kWh/d līdz 147 000 000 kWh/d laika periodā no 2020. gada 1. decembra gāzes dienas sākuma līdz 2020. gada 10. decembra gāzes dienas beigām (ieskaitot).


Due to the unplanned repair works at Inčukalns UGS compressor shop Conexus informs that withdrawal capacity of Inčukalns UGS will be reduced from 246 000 000 kWh/d to 147 000 000 kWh/d starting from the gas day December 1, 2020 until December 10, 2020 gas day (included).
