Amber Gas Corridor Partners Deliver Improvements Following Market Feedback
In early 2026, Amber Gas Corridor partners conducted a market survey to better understand the needs and expectations of gas market participants using or considering the route from the Inkoo and Klaipėda LNG terminals towards Central and Eastern European markets. The survey received responses from 41 market participants, who shared valuable insights on route accessibility, capacity booking, tariffs, maintenance coordination, regulatory requirements and operational processes.
Following a joint review of the feedback received, the Corridor partners agreed on a number of practical measures aimed at improving the transparency, accessibility, coordination, and competitiveness of gas transportation along the route. The actions cover six key areas: capacity and route booking simplification, tariff competitiveness and transparency, regulatory requirements and access to the Polish market, maintenance and capacity coordination, balancing and transmission rules, and nomination processes, including further alignment and standardisation of Edig@s-based data exchange practices.
Some of the measures have already been implemented, including the introduction of lower transmission and regasification tariffs at several points along the Amber Gas Corridor for 2027, the preparation of the Amber Gas Corridor Practical Shippers’ Guide and the initiation of enhanced regional maintenance coordination activities. Other actions will be progressed jointly by transmission system operators and LNG terminal operators as part of the agreed work programme.
The document below summarises the feedback received, the actions agreed by the Corridor partners and the next steps planned to further improve the customer experience and support efficient, transparent and reliable cross-border gas transportation across the region.
