The new 2025/2026 storage cycle of the Inčukalns Underground Gas Storage (UGS) is approaching, therefore "Conexus Baltic Grid" AS would like to draw the storage system user’s attention to the amendments in the Regulations Regarding the Use of Inčukalns Underground Gas Storage Facility (hereinafter - the storage regulation), which will come into force on May 1st 2025 (Decision No 1/10 of the Public Utilities commission on October 24, 2024).

The amendments on paragraph 31 of the storage regulation stipulate a new condition for submitting a nomination for injecting or withdrawing natural gas from the Inčukalns UGS facility that starting from May 1st, 2025. The system user will no longer indicate the Virtual Trading Point (VTP) when submitting a trade notification (nomination), but the entry or exit point of the Inčukalns underground gas storage facility.

The other conditions for completing and submitting nomination has been unchanged: the relevant storage capacity product code, direction, quantity and the amount of natural gas must be indicated. Also, the indicated natural gas quantity will be spread evenly over all hours of the gas day.

These changes have also been developed and implemented in the Common Zone platform in section “Nomination” (https://platform.conexus.lv/sign-in). The system users will be able to select the relevant Inčukalns UGS point from a sub-menu when a new nomination has been created starting from May 1st, 2025: Nomination-> New nomination -> Connection point - > Incukalna UGS (EIC:61ZUGS-IPGK-CONL).
